R&S Hydrauliek was founded in october 1993 by J. de Raaij and W. Stam who were employed by Van Rietschoten & Houwens (R&H), . Hydraulics department, prior to their start-up.
Some of the representations that R&H had, were taken over by R&S. The most important ones were
Hydrotechnik (test points and digital measuring systems), Hänchen Hydraulik (High end application cylinders), Haldex Hydraulics (gear pumps, gear motors and compact units) and Yuken Hydraulics.
R&S started in a small Portacabin in Spijkenisse, but after 1,5 year they had to move to a new building, also in Spijkenisse. Soon enough, this was also too small and once again they moved within Spijkenisse to the current building. July of this year, R&S will move out of Spijkenisse, to Zwijndrecht.
Begining of 2006, Bas van der Kolk and Jur Windhorst joined R&S to take over the shares of mr. De Raaij. Both gentlemen came from Denison Hydraulics (now Parker). Mr. De Raaij has retired as of February 2009.
Starting 2006, R&S has expanded the product range with alternatives for Denison, Vickers, Rexroth, Sauer and Voac products.
We will keep you posted on further developments. |
